Jennifer has been tutoring our son in reading for quite some time, and the whole experience and has been amazing.
Before I started working with Jennifer, I researched other larger tutoring companies and I didn’t feel that our son would have gotten the one-on-one attention that he needs and what Jennifer has been able to give him.
Moreover, her value and 20 years of experience in teaching shows as she has really taken her time to get to know our son and work on the areas he specifically needs help with. She also uses different ways to teach him and get him involved which has increased his reading skills and confidence.
We also appreciate Jennifer’s flexibility with scheduling our son’s tutoring around our family’s activities and the updates she gives me on how he’s doing in tutoring.
I think the best way to describe how great she is - is that our son really wishes she was his full-time teacher at school:)

My daughter loves the fact that it is online. When I told her she was going to start tutoring she wasnt much interested but when she found out it would be on the computer she grew excited. I really think this younger age group responds well to it. My daughter looks forward to her lessons with Jennifer and has a new love for reading on her own because of it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am able to increase a child's reading level in typically 8-12 hours of instruction and build a student's confidence as a reader. I also have 20 years of experience as a teacher. My tutoring sessions are $75.
I offer a free consult with the parents to find out more about the child and his/her needs as well as a free reading assessment for your child.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The process to work together is very easy and can start in just 5 short steps:
1. Parents contact me with questions and/or to tutor their child.
2. The parent fills out a New Student Registration Form on my website so I know when the best time to contact them is.
3. The parent and I talk on the phone to discuss the child's tutoring needs and set up a time for the free reading assessment.
4. The student and I meet to do the free reading assessment and I talk with the parent afterwards to review the results and discuss a tutoring plan.
5. We begin to tutor and your child becomes a better reader!

I am a licensed teacher with a Master's Degree in Education with over 20 years of experience in working with students with diverse academic needs.
I teach reading using specific philosophies and strategies (i.e Orton-Gillingham, Sonday, etc.) that use sequential, systematic, and multi-sensory instruction. I integrate technology into my instruction in order to make faster progress, make learning more fun, and to keep students engaged/focused
