FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Virtual lessons are preferred and will be slightly cheaper than in-person lessons. Unless the in-person student comes to me, there will be a sliding travel fee based on distance / travel time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll spend the first few minutes introducing each other and discussing our interests, experience, and goals. If the student has material that they've been working on or want to start working on, we can take a look at that. If not, no worries! We can get started without books or sheet music and work on fundamentals and other things that pertain to their goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Trumpet Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia, where I also studied jazz voice. I studied classical (and some jazz) piano from 2nd through senior year of college. I've learned from some of the great jazz musicians of our time including Wynton Marsalis, Terell Stafford, and Joe Magnarelli to name a few. I've performed on different stages throughout the country and taught in different areas throughout Philadelphia, my hometown of Albany NY, and elsewhere via Zoom.
