FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
120/ hour for three first sessions. For continuing sessions after that, $100/ hour. For those who are willing to commit and make an effort to work for change but have limitations about the fee, I will be happy to work out a suitable fee that matches their needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet my clients where they are, starting with discovering their purpose and what they want to achieve. I introduce mindfulness practice immediately and use it in every session. We sit for a few to five minutes at the beginning of each session, which helps my customers become grounded, gain clarity, and find intention and goals. We pause to sit at other times as well, if necessary. - I fully listen and gently ask questions to explore their obstacles, inquire about their reality to gain clarity, guide them in exploring their values and needs, help overcome any blocks, and brainstorm strategies and action plans for achieving their goal. Depending on the client’s personality, preferences, and needs, I ask a power question. I use MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy) and MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) or any of a wide variety of other tools and techniques to facilitate their discovery process. For instance, to cultivate self-awareness we may learn about the Enneagram, to develop emotional management skills we may practice mindfulness, and to practice better communication we may explore nonviolent communication techniques. At the end of each session, clients commit to doing some assignments that support their goals. Each client is unique. At all times, I let them set the pace and have a say in how they would like to proceed (but I will encourage and sometimes challenge their choices if that may offer an especially helpful path for them).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
1.MBSR and MBCT teacher certification. 2.Enneagram Teacher and Coach Certification. 3.Positive Psychiatry and Mental Health. 4.Professional Youth, Parenting and Family Coach (YPFC)
