Ballet Arts Conservatory’s Private Dance Coaching Program, orchestrated by Mr. Ali Simpson, has been meticulously designed to meet the needs of aspiring dancers and dance companies pursuing professional careers. This program provides a comprehensive curriculum that combines rigorous dance instruction of the highest quality with initiatives that foster creativity and artistic exploration.

The program is focused on the holistic development of serious dancers, companies, and competition teams. The primary emphasis is on technical proficiency and performance-oriented ideologies. Participants are encouraged to explore various roles within the realm of dance.
Classes are strategically designed to enhance artistic growth, refine core foundational techniques, and nurture the creative process, particularly for artists aiming to showcase their work in company or competition settings.

Curriculum Materials
The BAC Private Dance Coaching curriculum is very detailed with emphasis on the Anatomy of Technique, Agility, Strength Training, Coordination, Retention, Flexibility, and Contemporary-based movement. Please ensure that dancers purchase the following items that will be required every day.
• 1 Yoga Mat (Labeled with first/last name.)
• 2 Yoga Blacks (Labeled with first/last name.)
• Colored Masking Tape
• Leg Weights (At least 5lbs.)
• Thera Band
• Composition Notebook and Pen/Pencil

About the Director
Mr. Ali M. Simpson, Founder and Artistic Director of Ballet Arts Conservatory,
is a native of New Jersey. He attended Creative Arts High School in Camden, New Jersey as a classical vocal Major. He is a graduate of the University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a graduate of Temple University with a Master’s in Fine Arts in Dance. Mr. Simpson is a former Adjunct Professor of Dance at Temple University and former Director of the Contemporary Dance Department at String Theory School in Philadelphia, PA. For two years, he also served as Artistic Director of Philadanco III Juniors at Philadanco and was a former guest artist with Philadanco under the direction of Joan Myers-Brown.
Mr. Ali Simpson was a full scholarship recipient in New York City at the Joffrey Ballet in 2008 and full scholarship recipient in 2011 and 2012 at the Dance Theatre of Harlem, where he was also awarded the Modern Dance Award and was selected as the 1st Student Choreographer for DTH’s Summer Program. Ali was a participant in the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference’s Liturgical Showcase where he showcased his premier piece, “A Fatherless Testimony” (2010) with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre’s Michael Jackson Jr.
