Since 2012 Keystone Reefscapes has been designing, installing, and maintaining custom aquariums, ponds, and water features throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties. We are a fully licensed and insured, locally-based small business that prides itself in attention to detail and excellent customer service. We have been in operation for over a decade, proudly serving our customers' water feature needs. I came into contact with Eric via thumbtack. As with all projects, I searched for and compared numerous outdoor pond professional estimates, inclusions in the service cleaning, and professionalism speaking on the phone. From the gecko, Eric took the time to speak with me over the phone about the project, equipment, etc. explaining his expertise and what he can do for us which no one else really cared to do. Eric knows his stuff; he doesn’t cut corners nor does he try to take advantage. I learned so much about how a pond should be built and function on its own while he was there. I learned more today about our pond than I have in the past 12 years having it. I look forward to working with Eric and having him help rebuild our current pond in the near future! He is worth every penny, and anyone would be lucky to work with him!

This was the most amazing service we could have asked for to help with our salt water tank. Our fish were so sick and the whole tank was suffering and we had no idea how to make it right. We felt hopeless. Not only the financial part of what we invested but all these beautiful fish that were in our care! I made one call to Keystone Reefscapes and they got back to us promptly and assured us help was on the way. Eric was so knowledgeable and professional. We are so grateful for all they did for us. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else!!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Services start at $125/hour, and usually take no more than an hour to two hours. Saltwater aquariums require a minimum of 1.5 hours to service. Freshwater aquariums are a minimum of 1 hour. Our water is made here, on-site, using a 7-stage RODI unit, tested at 0ppm TDS. We use ESV lab-grade salt for our marine displays.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a consultation is complete, and a decision is made, we will issue our client an insurance certificate in their name. We prefer to perform the first service with our newer customers present, after which we will generally make a list of recommendations for the care of their system or display moving forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30 years of practical experience with aquariums and other closed aquatic systems. With respect to pond and water feature care and construction, Keystone Reefscapes is a Certified Aquascape Contractor, with ongoing education a central theme to our training.
