Introduction

I specialize in riding instruction at a smaller private facility. Since I do not have boarders, I can concentrate all my time on providing quality individualized instruction on experienced show horses. Many of my students have progressed in their riding and gone on to successfully competing on their college equestrian teams.

I haven't ridden in years and I was afraid that I would have lost any of the skills I'd developed when I was younger. Ruth was great at pinpointing where I could use development and what areas I still had a solid base in. Every week I learn something new and strengthen the areas I've already learned. She's always on time and ready to go as soon as I arrive. I love working with her and am excited to keep improving under her direction

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Evaluate student’s skill level on my experienced lesson horse suitable for all riders. Reassess at each lesson to help advance rider skills and challenge her to ride more advanced horses as she progresses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified teacher preschool through high school. I have been riding, training, and competing horse all my life. I attend clinics, horse expos, and read professional journals.
