Providence Home is a wonderful interior design firm. Laure Mink was our designer, she spent enough time understanding our expectations and budget. She worked with me and my wife navigating our divergent design expectations and successfully met both our demanding standards. She coordinated all facets of the project from design, product ordering delivery and installation. When one problem did arise with an installer she successfully resolved the situation and tactfully negotiated a discount from the original contracted price. Lauren helped me with decorating, paint, furniture selection and art. We had a consultation where she listened to my needs, I gave her some inspiration pictures and then she was able to mock up a few decor designs that we used to figure out the final decor for each room. Lauren helped me stay within my budget but was able to find one of a kind art pieces that pulled the rooms together. Lauren created a design timeline and kept to it, once everything was available she came with her team to install the artwork, furniture, window treatments and other smaller decor items. I could not be happier with the end result, I get multiple compliments from family, friends and neighbors on my home and I could not have done it without Laurens help. I cannot wait to work on my next home decor project with her!

Working with Lauren was a pleasure! She helped me with a very personal project transitioning my sons nursery to a toddler room. Lauren always kept me involved and valued my vision throughout the process. She provided 3D images making the design easy to visualize. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer three different services. The lowest budget option is a room refresh. A room refresh is ideal for someone who already has furniture, but just wants a fresh take on their room. This could include paint color, window treatments, lighting and decor changes. The other two services are e-design and full-service design. E-Design proposes a layout and specific furniture and decor pieces. The client will complete the purchasing and installation. Full-service design is a full "TV-like" experience. After the room is designed and agreed upon, we manage ordering, delivery, contracted workers, and installation of all furniture and decor.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts with a phone call to discuss the client's home, what they are looking to accomplish, along with their timeline and budget. After the project is agreed upon, the client will sign a contract and the designer will come to their home to do a formal interview to discover the client's design style, room function and get accurate measurements. The next step is presenting layout and furniture, until the perfect design is agreed upon!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken classes at the New York Institute of Art and Design in Interior design. I have experience in both e-design and full service design for single rooms and full home makeovers.
