FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My minimum job pricing for new customers is $699. I do offer a 25% discount off of the total first year pricing for all future year installations of the same, or similar, scope of work however (even if that brings the total cost below my minimum in future years).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start off with an address right away so that I can look up the property and know what questions I need to ask the homeowner, as well as how to correctly answer questions the homeowner might have related to their specific property. This makes the conversation much more productive and eliminates overly general answers. The next step is to gather an understanding of what the homeowner wants, or determine if they are open to ideas. From there, I create a digital mockup of a few different lighting options at different price points to send to the homeowner and get a conversation going about what they do or don't like, color options, etc.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Does the contractor carry the proper insurance to protect you if an improper wire connection causes a fire, or if the contractor falls from a ladder and is injured, etc? Do they offer any discounts for future year installations for a repeat customer? Do they offer flexible installation and removal dates to suit your individual preferences?
