I have been in the genealogy business since the 1990s. I became really interested in genetic genealogy in the past decade after my own DNA surprise results. I like to assist other people with their DNA surprises or, help them with their results and interpretations.
I am based in the continental US, and all business and interactions are done remotely either by email, phone, or by USPS.
***Currently, I am only able to assist people who have Ancestry DNA results. (In the future I may be able to help US 23AndMe and MyHeritage customers again).***
I have yet to work with the Jewish, Native American or the African American populations for genetic genealogy. Please let me know if this is what you need researched in your quote request.

If you're wanting help with your family tree, I highly recommend hiring Shannon with Finding Family. She's fantastic. She's very communicative and enjoys history and researching. She has added pictures, letters, news paper articles, and all sorts of documents to my ancestor's profiles. She must enjoy puzzles because she's putting pieces together that I never could!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every genelogical research project can be different.
Sometimes information can be found within a short time frame and sometimes it requires a lot of digging and a lot of research. We can talk about the scope of the project and the amount of time it would take to work on and make a plan.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, we discuss the end result requested. For example, a biological parent or grandparent needs to identified. We can discuss the situation verbally, thru email and with the use of genealogy websites.
I typically do need to speak/email with the client multiple times through out the research process.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree and some additional schooling. I have many years of genealogical research and now a few years of DNA related research. I personally feel that it's important to know how to locate documents and information but, that the science and dna of relationships is taking precedence in these kinds of research projects.
