Introduction

I offer private piano lessons with theory mixed in! I am great for homeschoolers who need arts credits! I give half-hour lessons weekly in my conveniently located Susquehanna Township home. I offer very competitive rates and family discounts for multiple students. I also give personal time and attention to each student and family! I can’t get Thumbtack to say this, so you need to know that I do remote lessons only for existing students and those in the central PA area. I’m sorry that some of you have been mislead.

My son began playing piano with Ellen when he was in first grade. He is now an eighth grader. Ellen has done an excellent job with him each year. She individualizes his lessons and moves him along at just the right pace. My child has a love of music which has been nurtured by the caring teaching he has received from Ellen.

Miss Ellen is enthusiastic and encouraging. She is able to correct mistakes in a way that the student is not left feeling discouraged and is willing to persevere to correct it. She is careful to pace each student individually so that he/she is not overwhelmed nor under challenged. She is truly dedicated to ensuring the student learns all elements of piano instruction.

I charge by the month. The $70.00 quote is for a calendar month of 1/2 hour private lessons.

I always suggest an interview lesson so that I can get to know the student and parent and they can meet me without obligation.

I have a college degree in sacred music and 20+ years of experience teaching all kinds of things-theater, Bible study, vocalists, piano.
