Introduction

Hi My name is Lynda Smith. I can and would love to help you with your precious pup! I am a behavioral specialist as well as a positive reinforcement dog trainer and experienced in working with all breeds of dogs. I have also worked with many rescues as well. I have been training and competing dogs for 45+ years. I have put many titles on my dogs and have taught many classes. I work with first time dog owners on a regular basis with basic obedience training and help to pick out suitable toys, treats, supplies,dog food, etc. I help many folks with potty and crate training and obedience training for their puppy. I do basic training which includes but is not limited to learning to walk properly on a leash in heal position without pulling and sitting when you stop walking. I also teach basic commands such as sit, down, stay, shake, high-5 and coming when called. I also work with dogs that have gotten in the bad habit of jumping on you or other people or biting the hand or clothes, excessively barking and dogs that have aggression and reactivity issues, not releasing an item once they get a hold of it, prey drive issues, resource guarding, etc. I do have private sessions located at my facility in Coatesville, Pa. I am happy to travel to your private home or training facility for private or group sessions as well. If I travel the rate is then determined by where I am traveling to and how many dogs would be in each training session. Excellent really significant help in working with my young dog. I am an experienced dog owner who needed help learning to work effectively with my dog Woody. Linda has helped me to develop a better relationship with my dog. He has been able to participate in Agility training and is immediately responsive when we are at the park. Invaluable ! I reached out to Lynda, and within hours had a response. She was easy to get a weekly schedule with. I love that she comes to you, as we tried training for our puppers, in a group setting, and he just wasnt getting it. I like that Lyna would reach out on the "off" training days to see how it was going. Dog training can get frustating, Lynda kept reminding me how far we had come. Very encouraging throughout. Very easy to work with. Would recommend her to anyone needing some dog training.

I was desperate to retrain my lab rescue after we moved into a new home- excessive barking, ignored every command he ever learned, using the house as his personal bathroom, and pulling on his leash so intensely and with such vigor that I broke my shoulder and fell several times with numerous injuries. Venture Farms Dog Training responded to my message literally within 5 minutes and then called me. I had my Cooper evaluated that SAME day!!! Now we work together daily to get him back on track. Lynda is not only a trainer but she uses methods and a system that is of her own making and IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM! She is beyond kind, intelligent and genuinely cares about the dog as well as the owner. She is training me in my home and neighborhood as to how to be the owner my Cooper needs to eradicate all of his bad habits. I have worked with trainers in the past ad nauseum, went to two vets, tried 4 different medications to no avail and was on the verge of giving up my dog who is like my second child and then comes Lynda who not only gave me hope and her undivided atttention, but also what products were best suited for my dog, the schedule and "homework" or practice I do with him three times a day and then she comes to my home nightly to assess my retained skills as well as adding new techniques gradually. If you are struggling to train your dog- do not waste thousands sending them away for "training"- you will be sorry. The key is to train the owner themselves in order for their dog to learn from their master and my dogs ( she helped me train 2 at once!!!) after two sessions are already improving at a miraculous rate. She has given me the knowledge base, the skillset, the confidence and the positive reinforcement to become the mom my pups deserve and I have no doubt that this time next month both of them will be 110% obedient and rid of ALL their issues. Anyone who has the time and dedication to training their dog NO MATTER WHAT THEIR bad habits are- you need to look no further than Lynda. It takes a lot to impress me never mind let a stranger into my home and take their direction but Lynda from the moment I met her blew me away with her soft spoken nature and her calm demeanor. There is NOONE and I mean NOONE on this platform or any other who can hold a candle to her and her amazing gift. I will vouch for her and my only regret is not finding her sooner!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am very fair and reasonable in my pricing. I am always available in between sessions if needed for any reason. I do private in home training sessions as well as private sessions at my facility, located in Coatesville, Pa. The cost is less if you are able to travel to my facility.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first meeting we always do an evaluation, goal setting and beginning training session. I can travel to your private home or you are most welcome to travel to my facility for a one hour private training session. You will always have daily homework to do, it doesn't take too long. I am available for my clients to contact me anytime by text message. They may also try and call my private cell number and leave a message if I am not available. I will get back very promptly!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
45+ years of experience and the privilege of mentoring to present with a dog trainer who holds a title in the Guinness Book as well as mentoring to present with a Dog Breeder and trainer who has breed many dogs that have won at the Nationals and have held top twenty titles. I also have put Championship and Obedience Titles on many of my pups. I continue taking classes on a regular basis currently as well as I am in the process of putting a special award called the ROM on one of my pups.
