FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Estimates are free unless your are over an hour away from me, I'm located in Canonsburg, these trips will be a $25 charge to be paid upon my visit for estimate. If I believe from the info provided that you fall into this category, I will let you know before I come to your residence. As far as the work goes, I am very fair with my pricing. I like to propose a bid. That way we both know the end payment and final bill. If there could be unforeseen work added on I will let you know before I start. Somethings are hidden that we may not see or be able to price until I open things up and see whats going on. But it will not be hidden, you will know of any possible add on's before I start the work. I will occasionally do an hourly rate if I feel it is needed or we are handling something of smaller tasks. I will give active military, veterans, seniors and anyone working in emergency services a 10% discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I treat all customers the same. I will meet will new customers and look at the job at hand. Depending on the job, I could give you a verbal estimate at that time or email one within a week. That will all depend on the depth of work needed. If its a fix that can be handled that day, I will most certainly do that. No one has time to waste when its a pressing issue that can be resolved the same day. My goal is to treat all customers fairly and with respect so that we can have a continual relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I carry a certificate for my Core Curriculum in the construction field. I also carry a certificate for my Level 1: Residential Wiring. This covered the process of running electric to all parts of the house. From replacing outlets, light switches, fans and light fixtures to adding new outlets and lights in the home. I have been working on homes for the past nine years. I began with my electrical classes. Afterwards I worked and was trained under a union carpenter and union plumber that was branching off into their own company. From there I worked for a Disaster Restoration Company where I was their all around handyman during the rebuilding process. I installed: kitchens, laminate flooring, allure flooring, tile (walls, floors, and showers), doors (both entry and interior), changed light fixtures, installed finish hardware for bathrooms, replaced vanities, replaced toilets, and installed trim such as base boards, window and door casings as well as crown moulding. I have also installed custom closet systems that were bought from Closets Plus.
