What should the customer know about your pricing(e.g, Discounts, fees)
All estimates that we offer for either construction or cleaning are offered free of charge. Our
quotations are created online and submitted electronically via email. We are always happy to
discuss what specifically is driving the costs presented in the quotation and adjust quotes if we
have misunderstood the scope of the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We enjoy meeting with new customers and becoming familiar with what is important to them.
After understanding how we can help a new customer we may have some back and forth dialog
with the customer to make sure that our understanding is crystal clear before offering a
quotation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The training for our business has been strictly on-the-job. We have both been at our respective
work for well over 10 years and this experience has proven valuable with each new project.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
We are a family business who does both construction and house cleaning.
I am Marcos and having grown up on a cattle ranch in rural Brazil, I have had to become handy
at many different types of construction/repairs. I worked helping on the family farm building
houses, barns, fences and whatever else needed done for 14 years before emigrating to the
United States. Since arriving in the States, I have worked for nearly 2 years doing various types
of construction such as interior renovation including flooring, wall repair and bathroom
renovation as well as exterior renovations such as new deck construction, hardscapes and
retaining walls.
My wife Edwarda handles the cleaning services we offer. She is a perfectionist who insists on
doing each job as if she is cleaning her own home.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with both homeowners, tenants and landlords. Most of the customers we have
dealt with have a good idea of what they want done and need someone who can reliably carry
out the work. Occasionally we can also suggest some enhancements to the project that may
add value to the finished work.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
On the construction side - I recently helped a landlord who had an apartment that had just
become vacant. The apartment had not had any significant maintenance for many years and
was in need of some attention. I re-floored the apartment with a very durable vinyl laminate
flooring, with new trim boards throughout. I also renovated the bathroom, replacing shower
surround with ceramic tile, replacing the vanity, toilet and also refinishing the walls. The
finishing touch for this second floor apartment was the addition of a deck and staircase to
replace the existing stairs. In all I spent 27 days on this project.
On the cleaning side Edwarda is particularly fond of completing deep cleaning where the
customer is truly surprised when they see the finished work.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work.
We think that one of the most important things to understand is if your contractor/cleaner has
offered you a FIRM quote. We take pride in ensuring that the work we will do is covered by the
quote. Occasionally we run into issues that delay or prolong the work but we stand by our
quotation since this is what we agreed to.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about
their project?
The customer should have a good idea of the scope of the work to be done so that there is no
misunderstanding in this area. We like to ask several follow-up questions to try to ensure that
we are on the same page with the customer prior to completing our quotation.
