First dances are my specialty! I can choreograph your first dance, parent-child dance, surprise bridal party flash mob and/or partnering basics for the whole wedding party. I’m very good with beginners, and make sure our lessons are fun and easy-to-follow.
I have been a dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer for over 30 years. I have won awards for excellence in musical theater choreography, a genre which covers many different dance styles...so whatever your vision, from traditional to organic….I can help you create that magic moment!
Trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, theater dance, Latin ballroom, rhythmic ballroom and more. Certified teacher (by day) so I am up-to-date on background checks and clearances.

Samantha put together a wonderful father daughter dance for my daughter’s wedding. She did a great job teaching the routine. She went above and beyond to coordinate a perfect dance that was easy for them to follow and look good doing. I would highly recommend her. I would also hire her again! And the dance was to a Led Zeppelin song!

My husband and I went for a dancelesson for our daughter's wedding. We had a blast. So instead of just one lesson as we intended, we wanted more. Samantha was very accommodating and helped squeeze in 3 before the big day! Samantha made us feel so comfortable and made it a lot of fun. I highly recommend her services.

Sam is amazing! She's so fun to work with and choreographed our first dance beautifully. She was very responsive and had a flexible schedule to let us do our dancelessons. She chose moves that were at our skill level and was able to give us tips to make it look great. I cannot recommend her enough!

FAQs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Find out what style preference they would like, and if there are any special preferences or requirements for their wedding (surprises, dance location, the kind of moment they want to experience). We work out schedule and location for our first lesson and cover some basics for the first hour. I try to create a good report and comfort level so they will want to continue meeting to finish choreographing their dance!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA in Music Theater from Roosevelt University in Chicago
BS in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University
Danced professionally in musicals, cruise ships, and performed my own one woman show
Taught all ages in ballroom, ballet, jazz, tap
Owned my own studio in Maryland before moving to PA.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've known I've wanted to be a choreographer from a very young age. It's my calling!
