FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing for almost all installation services are most often based on per square foot, per lineal foot, or per cubic foot pricing. If you are wondering about a ballpark of what your job might cost, send us a message or call us and we can get you a rough idea of our pricing. Discounts are provided on an as requested basis for certain protected groups. We also run specials for installation services during the pre-season. We also can provide payment plans upon request. Maintenance services are priced per visit and charged at the first of the month. For low maintenance spaces, we can provide biweekly service. Credit cards are accepted, but we charge a 3% fee for customers paying with this method so we can continue to keep our low prices.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
While we love our current customers, we are passionate about growing our book of business and inspiring more inhabitants of the PNW to spend time in their outdoor living areas. Typically, we start by receiving a lead from our website or taking a call at our office. Our staff will fill out a new customer form, or one will be auto-generated from the website. We always want as much information as possible from the beginning so we can provide as much information to potential customers as possible. From there, we will attempt to schedule an in-person meeting with one of our senior estimators or maintenance managers to get a better understanding of your project needs and desires or maintenance needs. At this point, we'll measure the space, ask questions, and get to know the client's aesthetic, budget, and plans for the space. Depending on the project size and scope, it will take us 24h to 7 days to turn around with an estimate, and if desired, a drawing to illustrate what we plan to create in your space. If all looks great, the client can approve the estimate through our software and pay the down payment if applicable. If not, our system will prompt you and allow for comments, concerns, and/or adjustments. Once the project is approved and down payment is made, we discuss scheduling with the client and send through a contract for the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Keeping Up With the Jones regularly attends trainings and participates and courses to enhance all facets of our work: from admin, to planting, to hardscape construction, we always want to be on the cutting edge of landscaping in the PNW. We are certified landscapers in the state of Oregon and Washington, where we can provide planting, hardscaping, irrigation, fencing and decking services as well as maintenance work. We also sought out training for erosion control, since so much landscaping requires erosion control services. All crew members are OSHA and First Aid certified, so every jobsite is as safe as possible.
