Introduction
I have been teaching music for more than 25 years, and I call myself a "teachaholic": just because I love what I am doing! As a singer I have teaching, performing and recording experience in various genres: jazz, pop, rock, gospel, musical and classical. As a piano teacher, I have a strong classical education. Therefore I am specialized more in classical piano literature. However, when it comes to accompanying my voice students, I am ready to play any genres! About my education: Bachelor and Master of Music and Music Education Dual Degree at 'The Liszt Academy of Music' Budapest, Hungary. I was an Adjunct Professor at the Music Department at Western Oregon University (WOU) substituting in the 2015 Fall Term. Through WOU I was twice (in 2017 and 2018) a guest vocal professor at the Guangxi Art University in Nanning, China. Currently, I am the Adjunct Professor of Applied Jazz Voice at Lewis and Clark College, in Portland, OR. I provide my students with a safe, nurturing, supporting and friendly atmosphere right from the very first moment, so they can feel that they can trust me. I offer voice and piano lessons in Multnomah Village, in my home studio to Lake Oswego/Tigard/Beaverton/Tualatin, with quick access to I-5, I-205 and OR-217.

Zsofi is an excellently trained vocal teacher; we are so lucky to have her in our Portland community. She was not only teaching my daughter to sing but was very aware of the lasting damage that improper voice training can cause to the vocal cords and techniques to avoid that. So I was very grateful to find her, and my daughter enjoyed seeing her. She took in-person lessons, but we opted for Zoom when we did not have time to drive to Portland. We live half an hour away, but Zsofi is worth the drive. She also offers make-up lessons. I am unsure of her policies, but we only needed to reschedule occasionally.

I wanted to learn things, not just sing and be heard with little hints. I wanted to learn valuable things. She warned me that we would start a bit slow on some scales and throat and larynx positioning and after the first couple of lessons, I was afraid that it was going to be boring. But in the third lesson, it got pretty amazing. Worked on interesting techniques, changed things up for interest, worked on songs I needed help with, evaluated the best key for songs and my voice. After one lesson, I called two people to just tell them how cool something new was that we had done. She knows her stuff and has a lot of info to share. I'm very impressed.

Sofia was my vocal teacher for 5 years. During these years she was my giude to develope my knowledge of music and singing and to pushing out my limits. Every lessons were personalized, shaped to my needs challanging in a safe friendly and encouraging athmosphere. Sofia is a talented teacher and artist and experienced and inteligent singer as well. Encouraged by her from just a hobby singing became my life long pession and I was accepted to a huge choir. My selfconfidence matured and I was able to sing for the audience. I wish she would have been less students and I would have been more time to take more lessons because each hours of learning was fab' Thanks a mill" Timi, from Hungary

Sofia is awesome. I've been fearful about singing in front of anyone my whole life and she really helps me feel comfortable.

I love working with Zsofia. She is quick to respond if I have questions or need to reschedule. She is experienced in many different styles of singing, which I really appreciated when I needed help with auditions for musicals, and when I was learning jazz and opera or continuing to hone my classical singing style. I always feel as though the time we spend together is productive, and I always learn something new. I cannot recommend Zsofia enough!
