FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually, I like to have a session that is getting to know each other and our styles, as well as getting to know the student's goals and prior experience. Once we establish that, I like to jump right in! Of course, everything is decided in discussion with the student and/or their parent/guardian.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University, and have six years of choral, solo, and operatic performance experience, as well as several years of experience teaching voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele. I also have several years of choral conducting experience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started singing at age 12 and started piano at 8. Music has been a part of my life from the very start, and my love for it only grew as I did. I directed my first choir at 16 and taught my first voice lesson at 18, and it all just snowballed from there!
