What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Licensed Clinical Social Workers must complete 40 hours of continuing education in their fields. Certified Rehabilitation Counselors are required to complete 100 continuing education, including 10 in ethics, every five years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My life experience with disabilities, along with my education give me unique insight, empathy and advocacy skills to assist others to cope with or make change.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I assist clients with work readiness and vocational counseling; adjustment to disability (your own or that of a family member or friend), changing your self talk to achieve higher self esteem.
