I love sharing my heritage language with my students! I've been teaching Korean since 2008, working with all age groups and in various settings, including public schools and virtual classrooms. My lessons are input-focused and much more than just grammar explanations and drills. So whether you're an absolute beginner or have some previous experience with the language, I can help you move forward in your proficiency.

Janet 선생님 is so fun and positive! I am learning with a friend and she makes it engaging for both of us. I can tell she takes pride in her work by her preparation. She prepares fun lessons, includes helpful methods of recall and homework every week. Not to mention the custom made slides and resources she gives! I look forward to every class and it always goes by so fast! If you’re just starting out learning Korean, have taken classes before or are self taught she will take the time to figure out where you are and how she can best assist you on your learning journey. Highly recommend!

Janet 선생님 has been my first Thumbtack experience and my first Korean language lesson with a teacher outside of self studying. I looked over multiple Korean language teacher profiles on Thumbtack but her’s stood out especially by seeming fun and very approachable while also having many years of experience with teaching people of all ages which was very apparent through her lesson structure and overall personality! My first lesson was very comfortable. Janet 선생님 is very patient and encouraging regardless of where you are in your progress. I’ve had almost no experience with using Korean in a verbal conversation but now I get to practice and learn new things along the way! She gave me helpful feedback as well as helped create a plan and schedule based around my language learning goals. I highly recommend giving her a chance. I’ll definitely be going to her from now on and look forward to future lessons!
