- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$75/hr or set fee fee depending on clients venue. This is a tough one for me since it is so dependant on the clients needs. Is it Karaoke or just DJ? Do you need sound or sound and lights? Or are you looking to rent a karaoke machine? The less set up, the less time = less of a charge. I am always willing to work something out if I can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Primarily a Karaoke company we also provide DJ services for weddings, etc. How we proceed is up to the client. I ask what expectations for the event does the planner have and what the perfect result would be. What role am I expected to fill and any specific requests. I can be as involved or hands off as the client wishes. Each client is different as is each event. A bride is generally looking for more direction than long-time event planners who eat DJ's in their sleep. jk.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Related to event management, I was certified as a meeting planner through San Jose City College and spent 10 years planning events for Apple Computer lanned weddings, receptions, etc. As a DJ/KJ I have been working off and on in the Tigard area for the last 10 years . I have worked at The Hot Seat, Greek Tavern, HiHat/Lu's, Canton Phoenix and now Toby's among others.
