The team at Design With Refinement have completed two projects for me and I could t be happier! Their attention to detail, creativity, sourcing original and unique pieces and the ability to stay within a tight budget have made working with them a delightful experience.The first project they helped me with was my own condo. It went from stark white to a space I love being in with just the right touches of warmth, furniture and art that fits me, and colors that complement each other and make me happy.The second project they were able to complete in record time and helped me get what was a rental into the real estate market. The condo needed to be brought into this decade and they were able to accomplish this, enhance the space while keeping within my budget and timeline.I recommend Design With Refinement to anyone looking for interior design to remodeling to just a refresh in your home.

ZGF Architects hired Refinement to stage various spaces for an architectural photography shoot of a 58,000 SF mixed-use building in downtown Portland. The scope of work included staging furniture and styling for an entry way vestibule, reception area, co-working space and library room, a smaller workstation vignette, and a large corner kitchen and dining area. Working with Refinement and her team was a great experience, they were professional and skilled and went above and beyond to provide a quality final product. From procuring large-scale and quality furniture items on short notice, to the care and attention she provided with regard to the design details, everything was excellent. She worked within the design constraints of repurposing existing furniture and budget while also managing her own crew on a very tight installation and clean up timeline. We would work with her team in the future for architectural staging needs and I'd recommend her services to others.

Pricing is project-specific. After a phone consultation, we book an in-person consultation to determine the full scope of the project. We have solution-oriented practices and find creative ways to stay on budget while producing beautiful results and happy clients.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an initial phone consultation and, if we move forward, we schedule a visit to your home or project. From there, we will write up an agreement and scope of work, and once signed, we move forward with the project. We are budget-minded and have a team to meet the many needs of our clients including color consultations, remodels, interior design, or just a refresh of your space.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After spending a decade in some capacity of interior design and commercial real estate with a project management and marketing focus, I took the leap into interior design at Heritage School of Interior Design in Portland, Oregon as well as receiving a certificate in staging. With a window covering certification, we can offer a plethora of options for your home including drapery.
