I recently had the pleasure of working with Mike from Hitch&Go, and I can confidently say that he deserves a five-star review. Mike was punctual, which is always a great quality in a handyman. He was also available to work during the 4th of July, which showed his dedication and commitment to his clients. Mike’s hard work and expertise were evident in the various tasks he completed for me. He installed a new exhaust fan, painted 8 doors, fixed my doorbell, and installed a new front lock on my door. Each task was completed with precision and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed with Mike’s professionalism and problem-solving skills. He approached each task with a positive attitude and was able to find solutions to any issues that arose. His knowledge and experience in the field were evident, and I felt confident in his abilities throughout the entire process. He knew how to put up the rack correctly. He was very thorough. He took his time and didn’t rush through his job. He had very good communication with us and wanted to make sure we got it placed exactly as we wanted. I would hire him again.

This was one of the best Thumbtack experiences I’ve had. Mike was very responsive to my inquiry, gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone and was flexible when my door wasn’t delivered on time. My daughter and I happened to be struggling with an ikea assembly when he was here and he jumped in and solved a problem we had. He asked if he could help with anything else and I now have the house numbers that have been floating around my garage for years installed! His price was reasonable. I will definitely hire Mike again.

My pricing is simple. It’s my base rate, plus materials. I don’t muddy the waters with discounts or fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication is everything in the beginning. I want a customer to become a client, so I want to build trust and make them feel comfortable with doing work on their home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My dad taught me a lot of what I know, but I also worked in demolition and construction. My attention to detail comes from working as a manual machinist for 8 years.
