FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge an hourly rate for live portraits to be paid by the event host. It's essential to the experience that for guests receiving the experience, the portrait is a gift. I offer alternate wedding packages that include extras, such as pre-wedding portrait sessions over zoom and an illustrated guestbook for the newlyweds. This keepsake is a custom-printed book that includes copies of all the portraits, messages from guests, and extra illustrations from the big day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For events: 1. We determine the duration of time you want me to draw portraits and the optimal location for me to set up at the event. 2. I send you a contract and request payment preferably a week before the event date. 3. I show up and draw your guests! It's fun! For remote illustration projects: 1. We have an an introductory phone call (or email if preferred) about the scope of your project. 2. We set a timeline and expectations. 3. I deliver initial sketches for approval. A revision process is included. 4. Upon approval of sketches, I complete the illustration(s) and deliver them in your preferred digital format(s). 5. Hopefully, you leave me a great review!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
