Introduction

Hello! My name is Elisa and I have been teaching piano and strings for numerous years. I have a teaching degree from Sibelius Academy in Finland. I have offered music lessons through my music studio in Finland, California and Oregon. I enjoy teaching all ages and offer lessons for piano, violin, viola, cello and guitar in studio and online. I am a full time private music teacher focusing keenly on each student and creating their own study plan after discussing their own goals. I am also an active musician playing at Willamette Falls Symphony and having my own wedding music business. I have my own wedding music business called Great Wedding Music. I love to create a unique music experience in each of the weddings through careful preparation and communication before the special day.

Elisa did a wonderful job at our wedding in July. We were able to meet with her in her music studio a few months before the wedding and after that meeting we had no doubt she would play beautiful and appropriate music for our non-religious wedding. Having a live musician for our outdoor ceremony was the best choice I made because we got to avoid clunky sound equipment, which preserved the beauty of the space we had chosen and added elegance to our ceremony. Elisa is very professional and extremely talented. I would recommend her for anyone in the Portland-Metro area!

My daughter started taking violin lessons with Elisa over Zoom during COVID. We couldn’t recommend her or her caring, careful and individualized approach any more highly!!! We live in a different state as from Elisa and rather than finding a local instructor when things opened up post intense COVID, we have chosen to stay with Elisa via Zoom as our daughter loves working with her and we are seeing such incredible growth in her skill and confidence development. Elisa is a gem and we are so grateful to have our daughter under her tutelage!!!

I ask about the student’s goals and ask some questions about student’s previous music background. We set the weekday and lesson time and discuss payment options.
