FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My services as a pet sitter (which includes house sitting services) are $55 for each night. Depending upon the needs of the pets, I typically do not leave them for longer than 5 hours at a time. If only visits are needed, and I do not need to be there for the predominant part of 24 hours, the rates are $22 hourly. For only the house sitting, including watering house plants and gardens, bringing in the mail, varying when and where lights are turned on, providing presence in the house, answering the door, taking the garbage bins in and out on the appropriate pick up day and more, it is $44 per day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's great to get a feel for one another before agreeing to work with one another, so I like to meet in person, at each prospective client's house, so that I can also get a feel for the energy of the location and for my rapport with the pet(s).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified dog trainer. While I am non-practicing in that area of expertise, it does lead to a deeper understanding of dog psychology and offers great and helpful tools in facilitating a happy, safe stay each time.
