Got a bid of almost $2000 to repair/patch some drywall. I had to ask three times what their hourly rate and estimated man-hours for this project were. After my 3rd request, I was told their rate was $80/hour (not unreasonable) and 10-15 billable hours depending on how long the mud takes to dry. They apparently wanted me to pay for them to wait around while the drywall mud dried. Nah.
