FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a straight hourly rate, plus mileage if over thirty miles from my shop. I can provide an estimate for more involved projects, usually those with multiple repairs or taking more than a day or two to complete. If I provide materials, clients pay the same price I do.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I’ll talk to a client on the phone to get a better perspective of the job. I may ask for photos of the job. If a follow-up onsite evaluation is necessary, I’ll arrange a time to do so. I want to be sure the client is satisfied with the plan before proceeding.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I’ve mentioned, most of my training is on the job. I am a licensed residential limited contractor and regularly engage in continuing education to learn new processes and techniques.
