Hey there! Thank you for your interest in my DJ/MC Services - I've got the music/dance program to make your special day everything you hope it will be. For wedding ceremonies, I have a selection of traditional music as well as modern love songs and instrumentals, and the perfect recessional piece to play after being pronounced. I also provide a wireless mic for the officiant if needed. For Parties and Receptions, I play a variety of upbeat and contemporary songs as your guests get settled, but at a low volume to encourage social conversation. Ready to dance? I'm your guy! My music library consists of 80 years of dance favorites - Big Band to Modern Pop, Classic Rock to Hip Hop, Jazz Standards to Country. Give me your play list and let the party begin. Beyond a DJ playing music, I'm a Dance Leader! In addition to providing Emcee services for weddings and other special events, I am often asked to include an old-fashioned Barn Dance segment (15 - 50 minutes long) consisting of squares, contras, polkas, non-partner, mixers, novelty, and country line dances - Great fun for all ages! No experience necessary, I demonstrate all dances from the floor and adjust the program to the experience and ability of the group to assure maximum participation and enjoyment. Personable and Professional, my goal is to make sure everyone is having a great time, and to keep the event moving along. I do my best to play requests, but always keep it family friendly with no foul language or explicit lyrics. We had a wedding with a large age gap in guests. The music fit everyone and was fun! DJ had to move his equipment from ceremony area to reception area, and did so without missing a beat in the music. It was great!

Carl was so great from the tike of hire to the day he showed up to the wedding. Our guests had so much fun dancing and laughing as we did some interactive dances. He traveled all the way to humboldt just to do our wedding. He was very responsive via email, text ect and had a great outline to follow for picking songs. It made the whole process so much easier than I expected. I am honored to have had the experience working with him. I highly recommend you hire him for your next big event.

Carl was very easy to get along with and made us feel comfortable as first time dancers. He choreographed our dance for us, helped us modify moves that we found too difficult, and also helped to edit our song to suit the pace we wanted to go at. He drove to us every week and he was always on time. With his expertise, we were able to get most of the dance down in just 4 sessions. I highly recommend hiring him if you need extra help with a wedding first dance like we did.

Quoted Price includes travel, equipment set-up, and requested number of hours for event. Additional time beyond scheduled contract is $80 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take great pride in customizing and personalizing my services to meet the client's needs. This requires the client to fill out event questionnaires and provide playlists of desired songs/artists, as well as DO NOT PLAY selections. All the information is reviewed with the client 1-2 weeks before, and an event timeline is established to assure all planned activities happen in a timely basis.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up dancing with my family, and feel the opportunity to participate in a fun family-oriented social activity is something that is sorely needed in today's society. And I can fill that need.
