- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Contact Sarah with 1) your name 2) your city of residence 3) your pet's name(s), what type of pet(s) you have 4) what type of service(s) you are interested in 5) any dates you have in mind for these services and 6) any other information about you, your home, and/or your pet if you feel it would help add context to what you are looking for. Sarah will respond as soon as she is able to (we aim for 1-3 business days) and inform you of next possible steps. Typically, the next step would be to set up an in-person meet and greet at your home to become acquainted, review your pet's needs and routine, and go over some basic paperwork. Sarah is open to making adjustments to prioritize preventative COVID-19 measures, such as having an initial meet and greet over video call, wearing masks, and testing before meeting in person.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Sarah worked as a veterinary assistant for a holistic house-call vet for 4 years, therefore she is very comfortable handling and understanding animals and has experience with things like medication administration (both oral and injectable). Sarah volunteered for 60+ hours at the Humane Society, primarily working with dogs and rabbits. Sarah is insured and bonded for both your pet and home through Pet Sitters Associates.
