FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's always dependent on goals and desired budget. Voice talent, on camera talent, scripting, motion graphics, even music all have an impact on the final product. Add that to camera time, editing time and reviews and the process can become as big or as small as your budget allows. When you meet with a professional, have a budget in mind that you are ale to share. A professional will be able to let you know if your goals and vision match your budget, or if you will need to make adjustments to either in order to plan a successful project. Don't be afraid to share your budget!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every few years I will travel to attend conferences that offer educational opportunities but mostly I find what I need online. I'm continually learning new methods, tools and creative ways to accomplish my creative vision by researching and watching online instructional videos.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Quite by accident. I was a retail manager that took a quick weekend job as a runner for ABC Television at a local college football game. After being around the production trucks, cameras and crew I was hooked.
