James and I had a smooth, stress-free, beautiful, and moving wedding ceremony because we worked with Mary Ellen. We knew of her because we have mutual friends but that wasn't the only reason she ended up being the perfect person to run our ceremony. Her services are everything you need! She will help you craft your personalized wedding ceremony, giving you an endless amount of ideas to get you started, ample in-person, phone, and email corespondance, and in-depth conversations so she can get to know you as a couple. She runs your rehearsal ceremony and coordinates with your wedding coordinator, and at the end will take care of your marriage certificate. If you are a a bride and a Bendite especially, do not hesitate once to hire Mary Ellen! She's so funny, witty, has an amazing voice and will set the perfect tone for your special day.

We had such a great experience with Mary we had a small elopement with our daughter and my mom and we had utilized one of Mary’s witnesses, she made the experience very special and memorable. She made an effort to get to know us as a couple to make it unique to us.

My (now) husband and I wanted a low-key marriage ceremony, without any frills. Mary provided us just that! All we had to do was apply for our marriage license and select a day and time that worked for us all. Because we don’t know many people from the area and being in the midst of a pandemic, Mary was also able to provide us with two witnesses for a small extra fee. We simply walked to Mary’s garden on the day we selected, said our words, chatted a bit, and were on our merry way! She signs the marriage certificate and sends it off as apart of her services. She will do as much or as little as you desire and carries a friendly demeanor to make you feel at ease. We are so pleased with the ease of our experience!

Working with Mary Ellen was awesome! Her vibrant spirit made our elopement fun and filled with love. She did a great job of personalizing our vows and making our simple wedding super easy. I love her relaxed style and her go-with-the-flow attitude. We traveled from South Carolina to Oregon for our vacation and wedding. We didn't even decide on a location until 2 days before our ceremony. Mary Ellen was cool with whatever we wanted and celebrated our unique ideas. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing starts at $150 for paper signings - $250 for simple ceremonies at my home - $300 for a Simple ceremony with a few guests - and up to $395 for more complicated ceremonies with large Wedding parties. Rehearsals $ 100 - I charge for mileage and time to your Wedding location outside of Bend, Oregon. I will hire witnesses for you - for $25.00 each and I charge for mileage and time to your location.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I get to know you and your love Story. We see if we are a good match. Then you make a deposit $100.00 - and I send you out many ceremony ideas, vows, poems, lyrics, etc. From those ideas and additional resources we create a ceremony together that reflects your style, values, and your love-story. I create a unique Ceremony for you - I create a timeline for your wedding processional - create a keepsake ceremony - and take care of your paperwork.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Applied Behavioral Science and have studied spiritual lifestyle training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. I was trained by a Minister to be a Wedding Officiant - Celebrant - Minister. I take course in Compassion, Loving - Kindness, and Grace.
