- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Schedule a first meeting/session Please let me know a few dates/times that you like to have our first meeting online. We will discuss details concerning your future lessons (focus and goals of your learning, weakness in the subject, etc.), lesson schedule, cost, etc. If you have any questions, please ask me during the first meeting. Our first meeting is free. (A short trial lesson is optional if both of us have the time in our schedules to allow it.) ********************************************** Step 2: Decide on our communication method. I prefer using Zoom for lessons. I will provide a link to my Zoom meeting room. If Zoom is not an option for you, we can use other methods such as Skype. If you choose Skype, please add me in your Skype contacts, or you may give me your Skype ID. ********************************************** Step 3: Establish your payment method before the day of your first lesson. As soon as I receive your payment, I will reserve the days/times for your lesson(s), so that other students will not schedule a lesson during the time frame. ********************************************** Step 4: First lesson Let's get started! My lessons are tailored to each student, so our sessions will be a minimum of 1 hour for online and 1.5 to 2 hours for in-person lessons. We will look at our mutually available days/times for lessons. SAT/ACT/GED/AP Exam lessons I will ask questions such as: ● Purpose of taking lessons (example: to improve test score) ● Goals and focus areas (example: ideal ACT score) I may ask or take a look at: ●Student's recent quizzes and tests ◇ I will also go over actual problems and check student's approach to answering problems. ◇ Most times, students already have a textbook or workbook. In that case, we will use them during our lessons. ◇ In some cases, I may suggest using an extra textbook/workbook, or lesson materials that I prepare and customize for the student's goals, or a combination of both. I strive to not add more homework, but only if you feel it is necessary for your learning. ● Setting up a lesson schedule that is based on the above information, I will suggest a few lesson schedules.
