Doesn’t have a business license number on the CCB website nor will they provide me an electrical license number for the work they’re trying to do for me. Then they lied to me, saying they can’t do the work after responding that they could do the work trying to hide the fact that they don’t have a license number. For all who have hired this person, here’s a photo that’s important. Ive notified the CCB and reported them.

We did not have a good experience with PDX Top Finishes. We reached out during the ice storm in January after losing and regaining power caused our electric panel to make a loud buzzing noise. Ralph guessed we needed a full panel replacement before his electrician Nick was able to be sent over and assess what was going on. Nick confirmed we needed a full replacement, and stayed very late that night replacing the panel so we would be able to have power again since we had been out all day from the storm. We really appreciated this, but after this installation issues started happening with the panel. After the initial installation we also started to have issues with communities with Ralph.The first issue with the panel was the water heater was not receiving any power. Ralph was not a dependable person to talk to at this point, he either took a very long time to reply or told us Nick would come at a certain time and he would not show up. Eventually Nick did come and replaced the switch to the water heater since it was the incorrect size. Our dishwasher then shorted the switch it was on and we eventually got Nick back to assess what was going on and he said it’s not concerning and we just switched it back on. This was all in January. It’s now May and we haven’t been able to run a full dishwasher cycle today as it keeps shorting. I believe PDX Top Finishers offers a one year warranty, but I don’t know if it’s even worth it to contact them again since it was so irritating to the first time.
In terms of payment, they wanted us to Venmo them before the work even started. We honestly thought we might be getting scammed and refused to pay them until they were actually here working on the panel. This also was a very expensive installation, coming in at $3,900 for an unpermitted installation.
Additionally, our new panel is slightly larger than the previous one. There is apparently some plywood in our wall that Nick did not want to mess with that is in the way of the new panel, so the top of the panel is flush with the wall but the bottom is slightly out leaving it an eyesore. PDX Top Finishers does not including fixing the wall around the panel in the price of the install, but Nick said he would come back and do it since it’s easy and not expensive and leaves clients happier. Each time he came back to fix an issue, he forgot the mudding equipment and said he would come back when he’s in the area. He never did come back, so our panel is quite an eyesore.
We will likely reach out to a different electrician to set the panel flush with the wall and determine what is wrong with the switch going to the dishwasher.

I found out none of the outlets were working in a bedroom. Ralph was able to get someone out next day! They fixed everything, including adding a switch I did not anticipate needing. They also were eager to help troubleshoot a separate issue, which was great. Pricing was higher than I expected- but other than that, I’m happy. great service & communication.
