Hello, My name is Kurtis. I have done a lot of general maintenance type work throughout my life and I currently have years of experience in repairing and installing doors as well as doing plumbing as a professional. I specialize in repairing and installing pre-hung door assemblies, prepping and installing door slabs to fit into the existing jamb, replacing weather-stripping, adjusting doors for better fit and operation, installing trim around doors, installing door hardware, and jamb repairs. I also do some small finish plumbing work such as installing, toilets, vanities, and faucets. I am great at problem solving with outstanding customer service skills, as I take pride in pleasing the client as a first priority. Kurtis had his work cut out for him in installing a door in a lopsided frame in my very old house. He arrived on time and got to work immediately taking care to walk me through everything he was going to do and to get my thoughts. He did an amazing job on the door and I plan to hire him again for future door work. 10/10 would recommend!

Kurtis is amazing! He was always on time and his quality of work is top notch. He installed French doors and a single door for us. One of the days it was raining non-stop and he worked through it to ensure our new door was installed. Prior to him even beginning the work he helped us make sure our measurements were accurate before we placed the order on the doors. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect as can be.

We hired Franklin Install & Repair to do door tune-ups and weatherization for us that made noticeable differences immediately. We now have much less draft and much more functional doors. They set realistic expectations (particularly with older doors) and are very pleasant and professional to work with. Highly recommend!

I provide an optional and additional disposal fee for the project I do.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
They contact me, I respond in a timely manner, they send pictures and information that will help me give them an estimate, I review the information and respond with an estimate and day and time, the client confirms or we work out a time that will work, I text the day before the project to confirm our scheduled time, and text again the day of the project to let the client know I am on the way..
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have life long experience in working with my hands and problem solving, but I also have a couple years working in the plumbing industry under a professional and installing plumbing in new construction houses. I also have over 4 years of professional experience as a door technician installing and repairing door and windows.
