Hello, My name is Kurtis. I have done a lot of general maintenance type work throughout my life and I currently have almost 10 years of experience in repairing and installing doors as a professional. I specialize in repairing and installing pre-hung door units, prepping and installing door slabs to fit into existing jambs, replacing weather-stripping, adjusting doors for better fit and function, installing trim around doors, installing door hardware, and jamb repairs. I am also able to help source doors for clients. I am great at problem solving with outstanding customer service skills, as I take pride in pleasing the client as a first priority. Kurtis did an amazing job replacing our front door! He was very responsive and professional, told us exactly what we needed and even helped pick up the new door and doorknob set from the store! Our new door looks amazing and the overall cost was fantastic. Would definitely use his services again for future door/handyman needs!

Kurtis went above and beyond to replace a wooden sliding door in my basement that was literally rotting away and a major eyesore in my home. He installed a new vinyl sliding door and replaced all of the interior and exterior trim, which was in really bad shape before. The door is located in an area that is exposed to the elements, and Kurtis made sure that everything would be properly weatherproofed going forward, inside and out. My new door looks so professional and really brightens up my basement, and I have much more peace of mind now. When I eventually replace my front door, I will also be contacting Kurtis!

Of all the people I've talked to on this app that I would trust to do work is Kurtis. Great experience, communication was great also. We had him out to look at 2 doors for us that needed work as we just bought house, need alignment and weather stripping on one and the other had to had its frame removed due to possible leaking water behind it and was beginning to rot. Also replaced multiple locks for us. Both doors are looking great and we're happy with the work he did. Would hire him again if I need any work done. Thanks again.

Kurtis did an exceptional job on installing our new front door. It wasn't going to be a simple install. We have an old house and the door jamb was no longer plumb. Kurtis deftly assessed the situation and rebuilt the door opening to fit the new door jamb and make it plumb. We would definitely call him again for any carpenter needs!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
They contact me, I respond in a timely manner, they send pictures and information that will help me give them an estimate, I review the information and respond with an estimate and day and time, the client confirms or we work out a time that will work, I text the day before the project to confirm our scheduled time, and text again the day of the project to let the client know I am on the way..
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have life long experience in working with my hands and problem solving, but I also have a couple years working in the plumbing industry under a professional and installing plumbing in new construction houses. I also have over 4 years of professional experience as a door technician installing and repairing door and windows.
