FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For general bookkeeping (Invoicing, Bank Entries, AR/AP, and Payroll), our rates are $75/hr, though we prefer to handle ongoing (monthly) contracts on a flat fee model. To get an idea of how much time we would spend on your "normal" accounting items, we typically tell customers to assume 500/transactions per hour...so if you have 1,200 transactions per month, assume $150 in hourly billing per month. (Please note the above are guidelines only; we'll want to review your unique needs before providing a formal quote - we provide free consultations) My preference is to work with clients using QuickBooks Online. As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I offer discounted QB subscriptions, and can give you tips for account setup to help streamline your business and cut down on your monthly transactional costs. I also LOVE working with your tax preparers, so getting your annual income taxes filed is as painless as possible for all involved. For Web Design work, we typically charge a fixed price of $1000, which includes a consultation, 2-3 design mock-ups, and full setup on your web host. We provide Wordpress web design services only.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we take on a new client, we usually like to schedule an hour or so to sit down with you for a FREE consultation (either in person or via web conferencing) so you can walk us through how your business works, what your current bookkeeping or website situation looks like, and what you're looking to outsource. At this point, if we think we can provide the services that you need, we will issue a formal quote detailing the scope of the work as we understand it, along with an estimate of fees - split by recurring (expected monthly hours, QuickBooks subscription fees, etc) and one-time (system conversion, web design, customized analysis, etc). You can then decide whether we'd be a good fit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.S. in Accounting from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) and a MBA through SE Oklahoma State University. In addition, I have 15 years of accounting and finance experience across multiple industries, some working for Fortune 500 companies. I'm a QuickBooks certified ProAdvisor, and love working with numbers. I'm also a "Master" level Excel VBA programmer [according to tech forum experts-exchange.com] and an experienced WordPress Designer, so I'd love to help you with your tech work as well.
