- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I verify the customers needs and details of the event, including signature drinks they would like to include. If it seems appropriate, I might make suggestions that could compliment their theme. Throughout the process I maintain contact and always touch base as the event draws near in case there are any last minute changes or additions. My goal is a fun and stress-free experience for all my clients and their guests.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As the Artistic Director for Santa Cruz Performing Arts, I feel that the organization, performance, and public speaking skills I have learned and taught, translate well to the hospitality/beverage industry. Working with the children of the highly educated professionals of Santa Cruz, I've had to balance the egos of parents and children alike, whilst keeping an eye on the big picture as well as the bottom line.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After a long and successful career teaching and producing children's theatre as the Artistic Director for Santa Cruz Performing Arts, I decided it would be fun and lucrative to subsidize my artistic endeavors with part-time work bartending.
