FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price for BSI Mobile Notary Service includes a notarization fee per document and a travel fee to the location of the scheduled appointment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to introduce myself by phone or message and learn about the customer's notary needs and confirm the needs can be fulfilled. The next step is to confirm the date, time and location for our appointment. We will also provide a final quote of the travel fee that will be added to the notarization fee. We will also inform you of any special requirements for the appointment. For example, for a vehicle title notarization we inform the customer of the information they will need to have to complete the title transfer at the appointment. At the appointment, we complete identity validation of the signer(s) of documents. Government issued photo IDs are needed from each signer of documents to be notarized. We maintain a journal of all notarizations performed by BSI Mobile Notary Services. Each signer will be asked to sign the journal prior to completing the documents to be notarized. Next, each document will be signed. If the notary certificate on the document requires the signer(s) to take an oath, the notary will administer the oath to each signer before completing the notary certificate. Upon completion of the notarizations, the customer will be told the final cost for the service. Cash, Venmo, Google Pay and Credit Cards are accepted for payment. Within 24 hours of the appointment, the customer will receive a request for rating and review of the service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mandatory training and examination by the State of Ohio was completed before obtaining notary commission from the State of Ohio Secretary of State. In addition, 80 hours of continuing education provided by the National Notary Association and Ohio Society of Notaries is completed annually.
