FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with a new client, either in person or over the phone/web, to get a sense of who their are, what their needs are and how I can help them. After our meeting, I work up a full proposal and begin work after that is returned and agreed upon. Depending on the project, I usually return a draft within the agreed upon time, and then we work together from their to finalize the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Journalism and Communications, with an emphasis on information design. I spent 8 years working in-house for a multi-million dollar company and learning about every aspect of marketing. Despite being a large company, we were a small department, just myself and the director for a good portion of that time, so I had to become a Jill-of-all-trades. Since then, I have specialized in helping small and medium businesses fulfill their marketing needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Think more about the end goal that what you think you need. Sometimes a professional might have a better idea of how to fulfill that need than what you initially envisioned. Keeping an open mind is always helpful. Personally, I will always complete the project that a client hires me for, but if I think there might be a better solution, I always try to offer my opinion so that we can work together to achieve their business goals.
