FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process with working with a client is: I schedule a 1st consultation, the 1st consultation is where I get to know my clients and see the space(s) that is being worked on. I measure the space and have the clients fill out a short questionnaire so I can get ideas on their likes and dislikes. When I am done measuring I take before pictures (with the constant of the client) and set up a 2nd consultation. The 2nd consultation is where I show the client what I have designed for their space. I will show 3D rendering of their rooms, bring in fabric, wood, carpet, and paint samples. If they like everything I will have proposal for them to look at and answer any questions they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in interior design. I worked at a large furniture company for 5 years as their head designer.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a teacher before I became an interior designer. I always wanted to do design but was afraid to take that leap. I decided that teaching was not for me, and got my second degree in interior design.
