We recently had LH Jenkins Home Repair come out to clean some non-opening second story windows and skylights. They arrived when they said they would, were very friendly and did a great job. We will definitely keep their number on hand for the next time we need repairs!

Very nice folks. Low-to-no pressure sales but also helped me identify a few additional projects that need to be done or offering better ways to do ones I already had planned to avoid more extensive and costlier repairs. I’ll be using this contractor again to finish “step 2” of this project and for some other repair needs in the future.

They need to stop being dishonest, fulfill their contractual obligations, keep regular work hours, inform client 24+ hours in advance of arrival, inform the client of the payment method, and communicate on site with the client! I have a written contract that specifies what LH was supposed to do. Replace deck joists, look for hole in foundation and discuss with client and fill, paint and install Gazebo up against the house, build long step at the end of the lowest (1st) tier of the deck. None of these things were done! I texted them that I had hired someone else to finish the job. and to come get thier tools and trailer. They are asking for the balance of the quote of $1118.31. Larry worked 12 hrs on 09.27.28. I paid him $550 on Friday; 09.28.23 when he said he had finished 1/3 of the job. $550 for 12 hrs of work = $45.83/hour. His listed price/hr is $45. He has been paid for the work he has done! I hired someone else to finish the job on 10.04.23. Now on 10.16.23, ( 2+ weeks after the 1/3 completion), they text me that they are coming to pick up thier tools and a check. If not paid today they are threatening to turn over the non-balance ( with late fees added every 30 days) to Thumb Tack, my account turned over to a collector and/or a lean be put on my house. These people are grifters! Do not hire!

Ma'am you do realize Thumbtack shows the contractor when a customer hires someone else, right? You insisted on having a contract with exactly your wording on it(which does not include a timeframe), we agreed. Everything you wanted on the contract was complete, except 3 things. Yes, you paid 1/3rd of the amount due but 3/4th of the job is done which you knew. You messaged Hope(Oct 4), not David, asking if he was still sick and you requested I tell him you hired someone else. You never mention work not being done as you say above... if it wasn't done why would you pay $550? You hired someone else on here Oct 2nd knowing what work had been completed, that David was sick and that I wouldn't know what work was done or not. Thumbtack states you hired another contractor Oct 2!! When I realized what was I formed of what work was completed I offered for our company to complete the final 3 things & you honor the contract you insisted on. OR you honor the contract you insisted on and we just pick up our tools. See those contracts not only protect you as the customer but us as the contractor also. Please pay the amount due as soon as possible. Late fees and a lean on the title of the home are also avoidable if you pay now. Thank you!
