One of, if not the greatest satisfaction in life, is drawn from a genuine desire to actively help another to succeed in any endeavor. I have been teaching golf since 1992. Even after all of these years, my sincere love for helping golfers to reach their potential continues to grow. Although, these days lessons can look very different. No longer am I restricted to a specific driving range or golf course.
No matter how old you are; no matter what your prior experience with the sport entails; no matter if you are extremely athletic or somewhat deficient in that department; no matter if you are male or female; no matter if you are an absolute golf addict or not quite convinced that this game is worthy of a commitment; you can expect to be treated with kindness, respect, and complete professionalism. How wonderful it is to be part of a process in which I have a front row seat from which I can observe my students change and develop new and improved habits which will serve them for a lifetime!
You better believe that I am stickler for the pre-swing fundamentals. As a poor grip, bad posture, incorrect alignment, (just to name a few), are the root cause of so much of the flaws in golf swings, you can expect a full check-up in this department. This approach applies to full swings, or any variation thereof, pitching the ball, chipping, and putting as well. I love challenging my students with dynamic drills to reinforce a specific feel or position on which we are focusing. I enjoy utilizing slow motion video and still photos during and after each lesson to give the students immediate and necessary feedback.
Along with the hands-on instruction time, I offer everyone a complete recap of the lesson. These I send via email. My students love these as they are comprehensive and clearly play an important role in the learning process. In essence, with as detailed as these recaps are, you are receiving two lessons for the price of one. Ultimately, I like to think that my job or goal is to teach people to become their own instructor. With the acquisition of knowledge and healthy doses of encouragement and motivation which I provide, you will be better equipped to head to the golf course with enthusiasm and optimism.
My guarantee to you is simple. After taking a single golf lesson or series of lessons with me, your confidence and competence will be at an all-time high. Because of my teaching philosophy, students will now be able to self correct when they encounter a little difficulty on the golf course. What a stark contrast this is to the full-blown frustration experienced from beginning to end which is the unfortunate plight of far too many golfers.
I am extremely blessed in my job as a golf instructor to have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all walks of life. I can say honestly that my experience teaching others is always exciting. I enjoy hearing about each individual's life, their background, their challenges, and their success stories, and their ultimate goals. Since each individual is unique, I cherish the chance to incorporate a different approach to my instruction. I love to laugh and invariably no matter how seriously we are engaged in training, humor finds its way into our session. One may never love practicing his/her game as much as I do, but I enjoy the prospect of helping others to have some fun and grow to "tolerate" it! Of course, I promote practicing with a specific purpose. So, the likelihood that a change in attitude will occur as it pertains to appropriate practice is very strong! No more just pounding golf balls or ignoring practice altogether!
Let's get started by you sending me a video of your swing. I look forward to working with you!
