FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer set hourly rates and payment plans for most criminal case types. We offer hourly and contingency fees for civil cases. A contingency fee is where an attorney only gets paid if you win (not allowed for criminal cases under Ohio law) and takes a portion of the settlement winnings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first have a free client consultation to see if both parties want to proceed with the case. Next we collect several documents related to the case and then proceed with conversations with the other side, whether a private person/company or a prosecuting government entity.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lawyers in Ohio are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Additionally, I am active in the Federal, Ohio and Cincinnati Bar associations and complete the recommended pro-bono hours in Ohio each year.
