I had the pleasure of working with KPS Architecture & Landscape, LLC after purchasing my home in May 2023. Built in 1951, the home had no foundational landscaping, as the previous owners had removed everything due to overgrowth. I knew I needed professional help, and I couldn't have chosen a better team than Mark and his team at KPS. From the very beginning, Mark listened attentively to my ideas and preferences and crafted a landscape design that exceeded my expectations. His presentation of the plan was not only professional but also beautifully presented. The design included vibrant Summer Nights yellow flowers, stunning pops of orange with Butterfly Weed, and the elegant Provence—just to name a few highlights. The attention to detail and creativity were evident in every aspect of the plan. One of my favorite additions was a stone wall that perfectly complemented the new landscaping, adding a timeless and sophisticated touch to my home's exterior. Mark and his team worked efficiently and skillfully, making the entire process seamless. This was my first time working with a professional landscaper, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I am thrilled with the results and will definitely be reaching out to Mark and his team for future landscaping projects. Mark was very knowledgeable about the existing trees, plants, shrubs in my garden. His recommendation to add creek rock border in my front landscape made a stunning difference. I now smile every time I am outside and especially when I am returning home. The crew were also very nice and professional. I’m a very happy customer and will use them again.

Mark and his crew did a great job transforming my yard. I just had a general idea of the desired result but Mark took it to a different level. He suggested the replacement of the cracked concrete patio and walkway with pavers and I am glad I followed his advice. He also installed the bubbler next to the patio, which makes this spot very pleasant. The old overgrown bushes and trees around the house were removed and replaced with plants appropriate for their location. The job was done quickly and pricing was competitive. They did a fantastic job (mulch, shrub trimming and tree removal). They were very responsive and fairly priced. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and very professional. I will definitely use them again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Although we have unit rates for specific services most projects require either a site visit, or some input, in order to give the customer the most return from their investment in their property.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide an initial free consultation on any project. This can usually be accomplished with a phone call to assure that our services and the customers needs are compatible. After an initial phone call a free site visit with the owner is scheduled to view the site and listen to the customers needs. For larger projects like outdoor living areas we provide our years of architectural design experience, detailed drawings, 3-D models and other graphic illustrations to help the client visualize our solution for their project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a multi-state licensed architect with over 20 years of residential and commercial design experience. We have provided hardscape, landscape and grounds services for over 15 years and one of the top designers and builders of outdoor living areas for the last 6 years.
