FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general our prices are Fair. If a Client wants to know her/his Tax return preparation fee (or estimated fee for other services), then a detailed description is needed of her/his Tax situation. The fee may go up if important details are left out of her/his situation (such as transactions that took place outside of the US). Also, in a few cases, your fee may go down because the Client does not need certain items. We give discounts based on certain combinations of services, such as a business Tax return with accounting and/or consulting -- because the more we know about your situation, the better we can help you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to hear every detail of what a Client says relative to their needs (because IRS terminology and certain companies may use different terms - and can pick up on the differences, leading to more deductions in Tax returns preparation and accounting rules). I also like to hear about a Client's past as well as their future financial goals/situations. Potential clients should also be ready to share all documents needed; this helps us to better serve our Clients with presentable choices as well as meeting their future Tax/financial needs. From there, we continue the conversation via a combination of methods (whichever the Client prefers): phone, e-mail, video chatting, texting, in-person meetings, pictures of documents, scanning & uploading files, etc. In the end, we craft a full picture of what the Client needs, and this process tends to help the Client feel more peaceful and assured with the results that they receive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in Tax, accounting, and financial areas for 15+ years. I have worked with small CPA firms in Ohio, as well as a national Tax firm, and a national financial advising firm. I also worked for small and large companies and a not-for-profit college as well as book editing reviews, and even flipped real estate. Additionally, in order to keep my CPA, EA, and CFP® credentials, I have been taking over 100 Continuing Education Credits in various disciplines every year as well as going to conferences and events. I am always seeking out and trying to better serve my Clients' needs and goals in their unique Tax/financial situations.
