I was planning to focus on just rock n roll but I've been introduced to a much broader array of music including funk, blues, jazz, reggae, and metal as well as different techniques used within each genre. Lessons have been great and have helped me learn not only what to play, but why I'm playing it too. I cannot say enough good things about Justin who has an answer to any question and an accessible teaching style (which is saying a lot when referring to guitar). Every time I leave my lesson I feel that I've improved and I have the support to inspire me to keep improving."See more

Scrubbed baseboards, mopped floors, cleaned interior windows, full kitchen and bathrooms really cleaned including inside of cabinets. Very professional, pleasant and worked hard! Would highly recommend him to anyone - more than five stars! He will be helping us with more projects in the future and we feel so lucky to have found him through Thumbtack."See more

We have gone over the jazz scales/chords and how to fit them into improvisation as well as taking a good look at the chord stucture of a song. He always having me play the 3rd's and 7th's to get the flavor of the tune. He's a "superb" Musician!!! Maybe have a "practice CD" to work with until we have another session. Keep doing what your doing!!!"See more

He does a great job balancing teaching the basics and techniques while also making time to work on what you want to learn and play. I've improved a lot with his lessons, way more than I would have on my own. I would recommend him if you are looking to learn or improve your skills, especially if you are a beginner, because he can guide you and correct your technique so you don't form bad habits early on.
