FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitive and extremely affordable for most types of events. Mention Thumbtack when you call and I will gladly give you a $50 dollar discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, the contract process is turnkey. Once being informed of a booking, I send the client a "starter kit" which includes the Services Agreement, and a number of forms on which the client lists names of the members of the wedding party and the specific "special dance" songs...and lists where songs requested for dancing can be highlighted. That gives me a starting point for "party time" at the event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Any self respecting business person does and I do. But, I prefer reading journals and magazine articles than going to the "Mobile DJ Conventions", which are a lot of schmoozing, boozing and "see and be seen". I teach college level courses in Broadcasting, so I am constantly among younger people and program the school's internet radio station. That way I am up to date with my music. My current hit music is provided through use of a radio station music service which I can purchase because of my affiliation with radio stations. This means, my music is never more than about 2 weeks behind your local stations. And, I also bring a streaming cord in the event I need to stream a song during an event.
