FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide free inspections and estimates. Pricing is not hourly but based on the amount of materials I will need, and the level of difficulty.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was between jobs and didn’t want to jump into anything I wasn’t going to love. I went into the interview for the position of roof sales rep. Instantly, I knew I choose the right industry. The company I was with taught you exactly how to install roofing systems and properly make repairs before they send you out into the field. About 8 months in I started taking repairs on the side, learning more craftsmanship skills along the way.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently completed a ridge cap repair over over a ridge vent. The pitch was about an 8/12. I didn’t have my nail gun so I to hand nail about 3 bundles of ridge cap shingles. It was a beautiful day with a great view so I didn’t mind being up there a little longer. Repair went great! The homeowner asked me to come back and price out additional repairs.
