If you're looking for a personal trainer who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in your progress, I wholeheartedly recommend Becca. She has been instrumental in my journey toward recovery and strength, and I believe she can help you achieve your fitness goals too. After experiencing a root tear of my medial meniscus and a minor tear of my lateral meniscus, I underwent a repair that required six weeks of non-weight-bearing activity with physical therapy, followed by another six weeks of weight-bearing physical therapy. Determined to return to my pre-injury strength status (or better) and prevent future hip or knee injuries, I began leg strengthening exercises using the Peloton, elliptical, and treadmill. However, it was eight months after my injury when I truly found the key to my recovery: Becca. As a 61-year-old postmenopausal, slightly overweight woman, I couldn't be more proud of my progress. Becca evaluated my strength status and developed a personalized plan that typically changes or progresses every 4-6 weeks. My secondary goal was to "lift heavy things to maintain my bone density." Together, we work on upper body, lower body, total body, and recovery exercises one-on-one, four times per week. Becca's wholistic approach to wellness goes beyond just physical training. She has been an incredible emotional support, listening to my ups and downs in life while sharing her knowledge regarding nutrition and strategies for improved sleep. She listens to my feedback and adjusts my program accordingly. Becca and I have worked together on and off for about 5 years. She has taught me the importance of feeling strong and healthy and loving my body in the season of life that I'm in, vs seeking an unrealistic "social media skinny." I've learned not to seek fad diets and exercise plans, but to improve my lifestyle in general. Food has become more enjoyable, because I've learned to fuel my body with the right foods, so I can still enjoy the things I love, in appropriate proportions. Her workouts are catered to my specific goals/needs, and when I follow her plan, the typical aches and pains that are common for women my age, are minimalized. Becca shows me grace on the days I just don't feel motivated/well enough to workout, and encourages me to just find a way to move my body. Her positive energy is contagious!
