FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with bureaus all over the US and Canada, and so I have a set fee structure of between $4500-7500 for corporate/association clients and a discounted fee structure for education and certain non-profits and small groups of between $2500-5500. That said, I always welcome offers to get to a confirmation and I have been able to get very creative to help me to work with a wide range of budgets and situations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin with a phone call because it's the best way to get a sense of a client's needs and sensibilities and to immediately respond to their questions. Once we talk, often the client feels that s/he can confidently decide whether or not there's a good potential fit between what I do and what they need. If they want more details, I'll put together a brief proposal outlining what I perceive their needs to be and articulating how I'd suggest meeting them. If that meets with their approval, I'll prepare the paperwork along with a questionnaire to help me understand the group's history, challenges, breakthroughs, and even terminology. All that allows me to provide a program that is relevant and valuable.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was an educator for many years and I was also an entertainer, writing and performing comedy on stage. I understand instruction and I understand the need to be properly emotionally engaged in order for learning to stick. I combine laughter and learning in every program I do.
