FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We work on a contingency fee basis. We receive a percentage of compensation we are able to obtain on your behalf. If we do not get any compensation, we do not get paid. There are no hourly fees. The old "we don't get paid, unless you get paid."
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do an initial consult which is free. During this consult we'll ask you a number of questions primarily, how you were injured, when you were injured, what treatment you have had for your injury, and whether you are currently off work. Its important to know the date of your injury because that will determine whether or not you can file a claim. If you are filing a workers comp claim you must file your claim within a year of the injury. If you are filing a personal injury claim due to an auto accident, slip & fall or dog bite you typically have two years to file a claim. After we do the initial interview we'll give you an overview of the potential legal actions you may take. If we think you need legal representation we'll state as much. Sometimes folks don't need an attorney, we'll state that as well. If you want to sign up with us at that time, you may. Otherwise you can speak with other attorneys. If you sign up with our firm, then we'll handle your workers comp claim or personal injury case from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
